Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze existing architecture and back-end code to make
  • enhancements or resolve defects and performance issues
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document software, and enhance existing
  • components to ensure that software meets business needs
  • Apply technical expertise to propose solutions for challenging programming and design problems in a distributed environment
  • Architect, design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality and operational needs
  • Technically lead and guide the team in delivery, research and development of
  • business requirements
  • Championing the development and implementation of innovative concepts in the areas of software development, DevOps, automation, and testing
  • Ensure that high quality code is delivered by the team following best practices like peer code reviews, code standards, unit testing and test driven development
  • Drive and participate in code and document reviews, mentoring team in best
  • practices
  • Collaborate with peer organizations, DevOps, support organizations on technical issues and provide guidance
  • Work with business and technical product owners to interpret and translate business needs to technical requirements and provide technical breakdown of work with estimations
  • Work with team to troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently
  • Focus on scalability, security and availability of all applications and processes.
  • Champion security requirements and secure coding practices and perform various security reviews with Autodesk wide security teams
  • Design and architect solutions to enable secure, scalable and maintainable software
  • Contribute to risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture
  • Contribute to technical roadmap and technical debt elimination, balancing time,
  • resource, and quality constraints to achieve business and strategic goals and
  • requirements
  • Self-starter, passionate about learning new technologies and solving business

  • Coach and mentor less experienced developers
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 5 to 10 years of experience as a software developer or related field
  • Production experience in building scalable systems design and large-scale cloud-based Infrastructure technologies (AWS preferred)
  • Extensive experience with HTML5, CSS and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap),
  • JavaScript and frameworks (Node.js, Angular, jQuery, Vue or React)
  • Experience with Java and scripting languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript, Shell scripting)
  • Extensive experience consuming and implementing REST APIs
  • Experience with PL/SQL and databases such as Redis and MySQL
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations (Jenkins preferred)
  • Experience using Docker to build containerized applications
  • Ability to understand problems, think critically, and devise solutions
  • Analytic, curious and persevering when facing challenges
  • Strong technical communication and experience working with technical customers
  • Experience with Agile software development practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with load testing frameworks such as Locust or BlazeMeter
  • Experience with Swagger is a plus
  • Autodesk products knowledge/experience
