Our sorting subcluster takes care of all software services related to parcel and letter sorting for Swiss Post. Several cross-functional teams have end-2-end responsibility for their developed services in terms of DevOps.
How you make a difference
  • In the parcel sorting environment, you will design, implement and maintain high-available and mission-critical services using the latest C# and .NET versions.
  • After thorough reviews, the CI/CD pipeline compiles, analyzes, and tests your code to deploy it to Kubernetes/AWS to production automatically.
  • You will be part of a DevOps team and use Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk to monitor and proactively optimize system stability and performance.
  • You will design and review changes to API contracts and take responsibility for integrating microservices with Kafka.
  • You regularly exchange ideas with the clients and business analysts and work out the requirements together.
What you have to offer
  • You have a computer science education, preferably at a university or university of applied science level and/or several years of professional experience in a similar environment.
  • You are well versed in individual software development with C# and have experience developing technically sophisticated and fail-safe systems.
  • The following joke makes you smile: There are only two hard problems in distributed systems: 2. Exactly-once delivery 1. Guaranteed order of messages 2. Exactly-once delivery.
  • In case of problems like too much time in GC, memory leaks or race conditions in production or design decisions with big consequences you guide our professionals.
  • Due to your high-quality standards, code that has been commented out, code without unit tests and pushes into the master branch without review make you feel uncomfortable.
  • Good German and English language skills facilitate efficient exchange with the different stakeholders.
