Fullstack Job: Full Stack Developer

Position Summary

Actalent is a global leader in engineering services and is a subsidiary of the Allegis Group, North America’s largest privately-held human capital solutions company.

Actalent is continuing to build a software division and strengthen its engineering capabilities in Canada. We operate out of a new engineering facility in New Westminster, BC and have a very collaborative and cohesive work environment. The reason for this opening is that Actalent is investing in making several long-term hires to build a critical mass on its software team. A large part of the upcoming projects at Actalent will involve Full Stack Development, and we are very interested in a versatile developer who can support complex projects of varying technologies going forward in their career with Actalent. They will be working both autonomously and amongst Actalent and its clients’ teams and will have several opportunities for promotion and growth in a rapidly expanding company. The developer will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle on complex projects (design, development, testing, etc.)

This position is remote, with an ask to come into our Engineering center from time to time.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for full life-cycle development (obtain the requirements by consulting the Product Owners, design, development, testing)

2. Ability to work remotely, expected to produce independently

3. Work with the Group Manager to deliver on complex projects for our clients

4. Interface with client when required

5. Participate in daily and weekly stand up and scrum meetings and provide status updates

Education and Experience Requirements

1. The candidate must have a strong background in software development OR a degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science

2. Full Stack development experience (4+ years)

3. Very good knowledge of Go, Python, Angular

4. Knowledge of Dockers, Kubernetes, AWS Cloud

Ce poste est à distance, avec une demande de rentrer au bureau de temps en temps.

Tâches et responsabilités principales

1. Responsable du développement du cycle de vie complet du logiciel (obtenir les requis en consultant les Product Owners, conception, développement, tests)

2. Capacité à travailler à distance et à livrer des résultats de manière indépendante

3. Travailler avec le gestionnaire du groupe logiciel pour réaliser des projets complexes pour nos clients

4. Interagir directement avec le client lorsque nécessaire

5. Participer aux réunions quotidiennes et hebdomadaires (scrum et stand-up meetings) et donner une mise à jour de l'état d'avancement des projets

Formation et expérience

1. Le développeur devra avoir une solide expérience en développement de logiciel, OU être diplômé d’un programme de science informatique ou de génie logiciel

2. Expérience en développement full stack

3. Très bonne connaissance de Go, Python, Angular

4. Expérience avec Dockets, Kubernetes, AWS Cloud
