Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Full Stack Support Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a Montreal-based fashion platform with a global reach. This is a support role, the person isn't expected to write code, but should be able to understand it and debug it to find the root cause of issues. Joining the project’s Technology Team responsible for all core back-end platforms, you will have the opportunity to take part in the design of effective services to manage the next-generation global warehouse and fulfillment platform. Your contribution would involve solving complex software engineering problems, and developing scalable distributed software systems focused on the client’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Inventory Management System (IMS). You will test your analytical and technical skills, rolling up your sleeves to complete essential and critical services required to enhance the ability to scale internationally by improving operational efficiency within the Distribution Center and Fulfillment Centers globally. A world-class team of 100+ engineers builds leading-edge web, back-end, and mobile applications from scratch, continuously upgrading and refining the proprietary systems. The client employs the latest technologies to deliver a robust and scalable technology stack that will support the global reach and provide a seamless user experience.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React (ability to understand code to find the root cause of issues).
  • Expertise in working with AWS services to create deployments and pipelines.
  • Understanding of tools such as Datadog to review logs.
  • Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL.
  • Experience working with two or more of the following: code debugging, web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, developing large software systems, and/or security software development.
  • Interest and ability to learn other coding languages, as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proactive and responsive person.
  • Ability to work at least 5 hours overlap with EST.
Responsibilities:
  • Utilize your expertise to engage in and enhance the lifecycle of services to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the software.
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution to effectively solve challenges.
  • Participate in the development of best-of-breed next-generation systems.
  • Join and support a productive and innovative team, working alongside peers, managers and collaborating teams.
  • Contribute ideas and participate in solution design, implementation, and testing.
  • Partner with the Product Management Team to learn about business-side requirements.
  • Participate in all team meetings/ceremonies.
  • Monitor system performance, bug, and incident resolution.
  • Support and communicate directly with business stakeholders with their needs.
Will be a plus:
  • Experience working with Kubernetes as an asset.
