DESCRIPTION

As part of Mobilexpense, you will join a team of 20 talented Engineers spread across offices in Portugal, Belgium, Sweden and India giving you an international flavour to your work. With a flat structure, you will be free to collaborate with our Head of Engineering, Chief Product Officer, giving you exposure right across the business.
On the team-building side, you will get to visit Brussels and Rotterdam a couple of times a year. We believe in a working culture that offers you the freedom to accelerate your individual skills. Mission of the Software Engineer
Our Software Engineers are providing the guidance and expertise required to build future-proof and scalable solutions. They are major contributors to our product and technical innovation strategies, directly involved in our delivery of new feature, improvement and innovations for our software architecture and services.

Day-to-day tasks
  • Support our Product Managers with tech expertise in their discovery effort.
  • Shape our technology innovation strategy with research and prototyping.
  • Contribute hand-on to the software engineering effort.
  • Act as an expert and reference point for the development teams.
  • Actively participate (or drive) SCRUM ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, review, retro…)
  • Ensure the definition and respect of development best practice.
  • Ensure that we keep our code base health and technology legacy in check. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong C# development skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
  • SQL database or relational database skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a service-oriented mindset
  • A healthy obsession with details
  • The ability to work independently
  • Good English verbal communication skills
NICE TO HAVE

  • PHP programming skills
  • Experience in Mobile development (Android or iOS)
