Implement highly scalable, resilient and performant distributed systems
Work throughout all phases of the software development process with other team members
Collaborate with architects, product management, engineering, QE and Operations teams to develop solutions alignment to development goals and principles
Lead product design, produce clear, well-documented design docs, and participate in design and code reviews
Build highly available, scalable user facing applications and RESTful APIs
Develop systems using HTML/CSS, UI Frameworks, Node.JS, Java and Scala
Learn new external and internal technologies as the need/opportunity arises
Operate within our internal open source community where we share a variety of projects and codebases
Build, test, and deploy your code in a continuous manner
BS/BA in Computer Science or related field plus 8 years work experience or MS plus 6 years of relevant experience
Excellent programming skills developing applications using Node JS, JavaScript, Java, Scala, Oracle / NOSQL DBs
Good knowledge of REST, HTTP, SQL, Jenkins, Git, JIRA.
Coding experience in Scala and NoSQL is preferred but not mandatory
Experience working with frameworks such as Spring MVC or other UI Frameworks such as React
Knowledge of core CS concepts such as common data structures and algorithms
Full stack experience developing in Scala/Python and working with Hadoop and related tools is a plus
Open to learning newer technologies and working on multiple code stacks
Good communication skills and team player
