Job Description

Piper Companies is currently seeking a Java Full-Stack Software Engineer for a REMOTE opportunity with an organization working in conjunction with the Environmental Protection Agency. The Java Full-Stack Software Engineer will participate in new feature development and contribute to an ongoing project to upgrade enterprise software platforms' existing architecture and design.

Responsibilities of the Java Full-Stack Software Engineer:

  • Work on new feature development, contribute towards architecture/design, and assist with maintenance of existing software
  • Follow current software development best practices in an agile development environment
  • Requires experience with back-end technologies such as Java, and Spring Boot.
  • Design and implement Java/JS applications.


Qualifications of the Java Full-Stack Software Engineer:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a software engineer role, using Java
  • Requires experience with back-end technologies such as Java or Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Requires expertise with front-end technologies such as JS, Angular, Bootstrap
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or Knockout frameworks is a plus
  • Any ElasticSearch exposure is also an extra bonus they are looking for.


Compensation for the Java Full-Stack Software Engineer:

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K
  • Salary: 125k-150k based on level of experience. The budget is flexible for the perfect candidate.
